Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek

Langtang Trek The Langtang Himal is a region north part of Kathmandu. vally and it lies just south of Tibetan border. The langtang valley is surrounded by high peaks of great appeal. It has become famous ever since the British mountaineer Bill Tilman described it as the most beautiful valley in the world. The highest peak in this area is Shisapangma or Gosaithan 8027m in Tibet. The course from the Langtang valley to Gosaikund is full of diversity and it is attracting many tourists. The langtang valley is also know as the treasure house of Alpine plants. The whole valley is cover with flowers during the summer. This high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to Tibetan.

Gosaikunda is one of the hindu holy place and is considerd to be made by Lord Shiva. The Buddhist Tamang that live nearby also revere it as their holy place. Every August on full moon night lake is thronged with pilgrims for a big festival. On other days the lake sits in a tranquil atmosphere. This is the most easily accessible of all areas from Kathmandu. It lies about 70k.m north of Kathmandu. valley, is an area inhabited by sherpas. The language , culture and dress of the Helambu sherpas are very different from those of Solu khumbu sherpas.

Itinerary in Details

Days 01 :

Arrive International airport meet and transfer to selected hotel in Kathmandu.

Days 02 :

Kathmandu sightseeing 9 am

Days 03 :

Drive to Dhunche (1930 mtr. 8/10 hours driving) and over night at lodge.

Days 04 :

Trek to Syabru village (2540 mtrs. 6 hours) over night at lodge. OR Trek to Langtang (5 hours. 3025 mtr.) over night at lodge.

Days 05 :

Trek to Lama Hotel (5 hours. 2620 mtr.) over night at lodge. OR Rest for acclimatization.

Days 06 :

Trek to Kyanjing Gompa (3420 mtr. 4 hours walking) take a lunch at same place, visit up Brana peak for panoramic view of mountain and back to same place over night at lodge

Days 07 :

Trek to Lama Hotel (8 hours walking) over night at lodge

Days 08 :

Trek to Syabru Village (5 hours. 2145 mtr.) meet your trekking guide at (6/7:00 PM) in hotel Yati or Lama guest house.

Days 09 :

Trek to Langtang (3340 mtr. 7 hours walking) over night at lodge.

Days 10 :

Trek to Chandanbari (6 hours walking 2890 mtrs.) Over night at lodge.

Days 11 :

Trek to Gosainkunda (4380 mtr. 6 hours walking). Over night at lodge

Days 12 :

Trek to Ghopte (8/9 hours. 3840 mtr.). Over night at lodge

Days 13 :

Trek to Kuthumsang (2740 mtr. 7 hours walking). Over night at lodge

Days 14 :

Trek to Chisa Pani (4 hours walking 2230 mtr.) over night at lodge

Days 15 :

Trek to Shundarijal (4 hours) and then driver back to Kathmandu by bus (1 hour drive.) over night at Hotel in Kathmandu in own expenses.

Days 16 :

Shopping or personal activities in Kathmandu

Days 17 :

Depart Kathmandu You will be transferred to the airport for your final departure from Kathmandu. Breakfast included.
